2013-present: Marshall County High School

I have lived in Marshall County since I was six years old. I graduated from Forrest High School in 2004.  Following graduation, I attended the University of Tennessee at Martin where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. After graduating from UTM in 2009, I began working as a paralegal in Franklin, Tennessee.  My intentions were to attend law school, but life had other plans.  I discovered after about a year in the legal field that I wanted to do something different, and here I am!

I love my job and the difference I get to make in students' lives.  I care about every student who crosses my path, and it is my desire to see them succeed.  It is one of the reasons I chose this profession.  Additionally, I am always eager to learn, and education provides the opportunity to not only teach but to learn.  I consider myself a life-long learner, so the ever-changing nature of education is perfect for me.

In addition to teaching English, I serve as a Student Council Adviser, Renaissance Coordinator, Assistant Tennis Coach, District ELA Teacher Lead, ACT Committee member, Senior Sponsor, and a TN Promise Mentor.

My husband, Ryan, and I have been married since May 2011.  I have a younger sister who attends Marshall County High School and will graduate in 2020, a niece who attends Oak Grove Elementary, and two adorable nephews.  I spend much of my free time spoiling them!

When I am not at school, I enjoy traveling and hope to add more stamps to my passport.  Lastly, I love all things Disney and Harry Potter!
