I graduated from Oxford High School in Mississippi in 2002, and in 2006 I graduated from Ole Miss with BA degrees in psychology and Spanish.  During my years at Ole Miss, I was a member of the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College and the Ole Miss marching band and wind ensemble.  I also studied abroad and lived with host families in Queretaro, Mexico, and San Jose, Costa Rica.

After graduating from Ole Miss, I taught Spanish in Mobile, Alabama.  The University of Memphis offered a partnership with Memphis City Schools to reimburse tuition for teachers working toward alternative certification, so I moved to Memphis to pursue my certification and ultimately a Master of Arts in Teaching(MAT) degree.

After working in Memphis for a number of years, I returned to Mississippi to work in a suburb of Memphis called Olive Branch, Mississippi.  It was there that I was able to really improve my teaching practices, and many of my students made me so proud by winning regional and state-wide competitions.

After many enjoyable years working in Desoto County, Mississippi, I met my husband, and we were married during Spring Break of 2018.  We moved to Lewisburg in the summer of 2018, and we both started out new jobs in Marshall County!  My husband works with cattle for the University of Tennessee, and he enjoys his new job as much as I am  enjoying mine.  We love our new community already.  We both really appreciate the warm welcome that we have received.

I am proud to be a Tiger!
